*important: This is intended to be taken as a team. While the information is primarily geared toward assistants, it is important for both the doc and assistant to have the same expectations going into implant cases, and be able to discuss any opinions or differences in procedures that you want to implement in your clinic. When you are asked to explain how you would communicate with a patient, it is a wonderful time to practice as a team and do some role-playing. Don't use this as an opportunity to test each other, but rather as a chance to provide a safe and supportive environment to try new ways of communicating and even getting it wrong sometimes. When you are comfortable, so are your patients. When you are supportive and operating well as a team, your patients will trust you more, and say “Yes" more often!

Virtual, Hands-On?

ConfiDental training is intended to not only give you information but also have you practice and apply that information in true-to-life environments and situations. Use the resources provided, and pay attention to the videos and tasks that are Hands-On as these will require you to have certain pieces of equipment and instrumentation available.

All ConfiDental training is intended to be completed in your clinic in an operatory. Training in the same environment as you intend to work provides invaluable mental, emotional, and physical learning benefits, and makes your training much more effective. Do this training in your operatory!
