*important: This is intended to be taken as a team. While the information is primarily geared toward assistants, it is important for both the doc and assistant to have the same expectations going into implant cases, and be able to discuss any opinions or differences in procedures that you want to implement in your clinic. When you are asked to explain how you would communicate with a patient, it is a wonderful time to practice as a team and do some role-playing. Don't use this as an opportunity to test each other, but rather as a chance to provide a safe and supportive environment to try new ways of communicating and even getting it wrong sometimes. When you are comfortable, so are your patients. When you are supportive and operating well as a team, your patients will trust you more, and say “Yes" more often!

Successful implant cases start with careful planning...

There will be some cases that still hold surprises, but the vast majority go smoothly and successfully when we use proper planning procedures. We use the checklist that follows to make sure we consider the case carefully and deliver the best possible care for our patients.

When beginning to plan implant cases, we recommend you print a stack of them and use one for every implant patient. Take notes, record the dimensions in the blanks, and check off each item. The best professionals in the world follow checklists. It's what keeps your weekend flight in the air, and it will keep your implant cases smooth and successful.

Virtual, Hands-On?

ConfiDental training is intended to not only give you information but also have you practice and apply that information in true-to-life environments and situations.
